The Hanged Man dances through darkness with "Invincible Trees"
Almost a year and a half on from the release of her debut EP, Rebecka Rolfart - better known as The Hanged Man - is back with a brand new release.
Dark lyrics, driving percussion, and delirious refrains form the basis for The Hanged Man's new material. "Invincible Trees" is the first taste of this new direction. Sitting between a menacing intensity and an all-out dance, the track takes an eeries soundscape and propels it through a pure-pop haze to create something thrillingly contagious.
Culminating in a storm of clouded distortion, the song is a fresh release from constraints or convention. Citing transformation, liberation, darkness, and death as major themes on her forthcoming EP, Rebecka Rolfart has set the precedent for her own revolution.
The Lord Have Mercy EP is released via Kning Disk on 19 February.
