London duo Temptress are here to save the day on “SOS”
London pop duo Temptress share lockdown anthem "SOS". The new single is a salve for when times of isolation start to get tough.
Leather clad from head to toe, “superhero Jess is out fighting crime and receives an SOS from Vlad who has been kidnapped”. So sets the scene of any good vigilante escapade, and one in which London DIY duo Temptress are both the leading roles and cinematographers.
A self-anointed “lockdown anthem”, “SOS” is a long distance valentine to our loved ones - “knowing you can’t be with them, but letting them know if you’re needed, you’re one call away”.
Inspired by Pootie Tang and The Matrix in this whimsical crime thriller, their shadowy soundscapes are also heavily influenced by the 90s - creating woozy R&B melodies that billow out in soft, dreamy clouds behind the jagged silhouette of the surrounding city.
Writing and producing all of their material, Vlad and Jess also run their own production company, Plastic Fruit Studios, in South London - creating innovative visual content. This creative flair and eye for detail translates in the curation of their own music videos - complete with masked villains and long leather trenches.
