Bristol-via-London threesome BOA have debuted their first single "Holier", and it's a doozy.
BOA's m.o. is muy bueno - expect oodles of swoon-infested charm and woozy synth hooks all wrapped around a gooey emotional core. It smacks of Teen Daze's hazy take on Japandroids' "Wet Hair" on occasion, but those moments are fleeting - the tangible, cloudy dreaminess is a much more lingering link. It's melodic, euphoric, incandescent, and even manages to sincerely squeeze in a reference to the spiciness of wasabi.
The single is out now via Hand In Hive (Wyldest, Alma Elste). Find out more about BOA on Facebook.
