Sweden's 1987 shares brand new cut "YourLove / Ecstasy", his first song in English
Stockholm producer 1987 has unveiled a brand new track calld "YourLove / Ecstasy", and it's the first of his that's sung in the English language.
The track swiftly follows the release of stunning album Härskarkonst, which we declared Album Of The Week back in early May.
Sprawling out over six-and-a-half minutes, the track borrows heavily from ambient and dreamy electronic music, using atmospheres, textures and slow evolutions to affect you in seismic ways. With vocals that slip between those of The Weeknd and Jonsí, and warped trap beats, it might seem like something earth-shudderingly grand, but 1987's avoiding the out-and-out pop vibes of the likes of "Bomb", and instead opting for stretched-out subtlety and intimate introspection.
1987's debut LP Härskarkonst is out now. You can read our review of it here.
