Melbourne's Static Animal air new ebullient pop cut "Country Room"
Static Animal today unveil "Country Room" from their forthcoming EP Morning Sounds.
Shrouded in mystery, Australia's latest musical offering is more of an 'anonymous' project rather than any 'enigma'.
Personal and honest, Static Animal's weary warblings reflect the worry-ridden mind of its creator. Nothing is held out of view other than name.
With vocals set deep within a current of awkward yet upbeat jangle-pop, the track is the perfect contradiction. Though confessional, the nervous musings are lost within their own reverberated haze. Reflecting their reclusive anonymity, Static Animal anxiously hold back with their sound and the frank nature of their lyrics with cautious hesitancy.
"Country Room" is a peek through the curtains on a clammy summer morning. A ray of light breaks through but just enough to illuminate its path. Brief and fleeting, the track, which sits at only 2 minutes, leaves you wanting more. Draw open those curtains now.
"Country Sounds" features on the Static Animal's debut EP Morning Sounds, available digitally and physically on a very limited release (20 cassette tapes) via Sports Day Records.
