"Soothe" yourself with the latest single from Kite Base
Kite Base (bassists Ayşe Hassan of Savages and Kendra Frost) reveal "Soothe", their atmospheric new single.
The duo will pair "Soothe" with debut single "Dadum" for a new 7" via Flashback Records. "Flashback is one of a select few independent record shops now remaining in London," say Kite Base. "With the closure of so many similar outlets and music venues of late here, we wanted to work with the label side to release ‘Soothe’ in support of our local music community." Pre-order now.
This is the latest in a handful of offerings from the shadowy outfit - they've already shot out "Dadum", "Miracle Waves", and a glorious cover of Nine Inch Nails.
"Soothe", a pulsing piece of broody electro with roots in techno and post-punk, looks at less agitated themes than the noises might imply. A press release explains: "‘Soothe’ is a reflection upon the methods employed to calm yourself to sleep when suffering from stress and anxiety-induced insomnia."
