SOFI TUKKER return with late-night jam "Johny" and launch hotline for fans
SOFI TUKKER are back with their first jam of 2017, and it's a big one called "Johny".
"Johny" picks up where SOFI TUKKER left off last year, fusing Latin American dance with pristine indie-pop. The rhythms here will yank your limbs in odd directions and dangle you around dancefloors like a marionette - there's no escaping just how infectious this is. Of course the twosome aren't just rhythmically gifted, squishing meaty melodies into every bar; twilit guitars slither beneath dew-stained bass, with Sophie Hawley-Weld's ethereal vocals shimmering into infinity. This is the kind of song that you'll want to play until the sun comes up.
If you play FIFA 17 you might recognise the track, but it's only now getting a proper release. The track follows the pair's stellar debut EP Soft Animals, which features singles such as "Matadora", "Awoo", "Déjà Vu Affair", and "Hey Lion".
As well as the single, SOFI TUKKER have launched a new hotline for fans to call. If you ring up +1-866-HI-JOHNY (1-866-445-6469) you might get the chance to speak to the band or win a prize...
The duo, Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tukker Halpern, have a big North American tour planned for the coming months. Find out more.
