Skott continues to impress with spellbinding fourth release “Lack of Emotion”
“Lack of Emotion” is another beautifully crafted leftfield pop song that reinforces Skott’s unique and exquisite sound.
A lot has happened since Skott’s burst onto the scene earlier this year. Having impressed with debut single “Porcelain” and second track “Wolf”, Skott then treated us to "a second helping of euphoric pop" with the release of her second single, “Amelia”. Her sound is one that has both the music press and her peers all singing her praises, with rave reviews popping up after every release and the likes of Katy Perry and Lorde tweeting their approval. Skott also featured on the line up for the recent Annie Mac Presents gig following two other sold out UK shows.
With the release of the limited edition “Amelia/Lack of Emotion” vinyl now imminent, Skott has showcased the latter B-side track. “Lack of Emotion” possesses a more upbeat and disco inspired sound in comparison to her other work. Funk-fuelled guitar stabs and a disco groove open the track before Skott’s gloriously dark and distinctive vocals kick in, accompanied by her familiar sweeping harmonies. It’s another mature and delightful offering from the fast-rising Scandi popstar and further cements the claim that Skott is one of the most promising artists in her field and is very much one to watch in 2017.
“Amelia/Lack of Emotion” is available via Chess Club (UK) and B3SCI (USA) digitally now and will be released on limited edition vinyl on the 4th November 2016. Skott’s debut album is due for release next year.
