Watch: Sin Cos Tan – 'History'
If you picked up the Best Fit/Music Finland Record Store Day vinyl we were giving away a couple of weeks back, then you’ll have fallen hook, line and sinker for the featured track by electro duo Sin Cos Tan.
‘History’ is filled with sweeping breaks, replacing the dark underbelly of some the Finnish band’s earlier tracks with a more heartbreaking dynamic drawing from the synth melodrama of Bronski Beat rather than leather and chrome-era Depeche Mode.
And the track’s incredible video plays out like a Lars Von Triar/Dogme 95 nightmare meshed with hellish montages that recall Robert Breer’s Blue Monday 88 promo. A barrage of allusions but it’s just that good. Watch below:
