Shapeshifting talent Lawrence Rothman recruits Charli XCX for "Oz Vs. Eden"
Lawrence Rothman, an ambitious popsmith with many characters, faces, and personalities, has shared new single "Oz Vs. Eden" featuring Charli XCX's unmistakeable vocals.
The new single follows Rothman's collab with Angel Olsen, "California Paranoia". This new offering is much grander, with rock riffs, death-march beats, Christian mythology, and genuine menace round every corner. It's a devilish glance into Rothman's psyche
The track also references serial killer Andy Cunanan and Don McLean's "American Pie".
Rothman is currently working in the studio with Justin Raisen on a record that will feature, alongside Olsen and XCX, Kim Gordon and Ariel Pink. The record is expected in 2016 via Downtown.
