The side project of Logh‘s Mattias Friberg, Shadow Shadow comes to us courtesy of the wonderful folk at INGRID.
Friberg did a Bon Iver back in 2009, hitting a cottage in the Swedish countryside with a bunch of electronics and began to experiment in rooms covered with images of “fangs, soft paws and sharp claws”.
’1000001′, the B-side to debut single ‘Riviera’, was released in the US last month via Californian boutique label Nonchalant. “A tangle of sheets and cool hearts on a humid and sticky summer night,” said the wonderful folks at Yours Truly. We couldn’t agree more.
Vocals come from Masquer’s Kicki Halmos and the whole thing’s wrapped up with a video that jars the senses in all the right places; watch below.
