Seramic releases "I Got You" ahead of Omeara headline slot
With his sophomore EP waiting in the wings, Seramic’s drops “I Got You”, the soulful second cut from the release.
Last year saw Seramic (the moniker for singer-songwriter Marcus Foster’s new project) release his debut EP following continued praise online, and support from BBC Introducing. 2017 is set to be a big year for Foster, with “I Got You” as his first release. It's the second track taken from his upcoming EP, following the September release of “Greg’s Love”, a collaboration with Bootsy Collins.
On “I Got You” Foster plays with his formula of soaring melodies and euphoric choruses, explaining that “it plays with your expectations a bit more than some previous tracks, you don't quite know where the song is going, like an out of control lawn mower heading for the children.” The track deals with the kind of break-up that's not messy and retains a mutual love and respect for the other person, in Foster’s words it’s about “always having someone's back even if you part ways. It's about being kind even if you lose someone.”
