Watch the fun-fuelled visuals for Seinabo Sey's upbeat new track "Pretend"
Incorporating traditional soul vocals and contemporary pop beats seem to work for a lot of commercial artists. Seinabo Sey, Sweden's soul saviour, has just raised the bar with her latest summer hit "Pretend".
By using an urban landscape as the ultimate adolescent playground, Sey transforms her simmering track into a must-have on summer playlists. The persistent pitter-patter beat adds a timelessness to thesounds, further illuminating the infinite nature of city life, and all the sleep-deprivation that comes with it.
"Pretend" might be our new 'we're not sleeping tonight' tune. Pulsing with energy and the big-city-buzz we've all craved at one time or other, Sey sends us all into the darkest night..
