Sea Bed show their versatility on new slow jam “Silent Song”
Where Brighton three-piece Sea Bed’s previous single “Pretender” knocked us for six with its enormous chorus, follow-up “Silent Song” offers the listener a different perspective.
“Silent Song” is Sea Bed’s second single since the addition of third member Flavia Aliverti as a permanent member. Still indisputably perfectionist pop, the trick is a slow burner, with lead vocalist Lizzy Massey’s vocal soaring over pared-down electronics.
“Silent Song” is no less magical than its predecessor, but allows Sea Bed to show off a totally different side to their songwriting and production. This subdued angle is a fantastic fit for them, and a credit to their versatility as pop musicians.
