Sasha Sloan teams up with Beyonce/Weekend-producer King Henry for "Hurt"
"'Hurt' is about falling in love and being scared as shit" says Sasha Sloan.
“I was 100% in love with someone and wasn’t sure if they liked me back which was fucking terrifying," she explains. "I wanted to fall so bad, but just getting out of my last relationship made things complicated."
Boston native Sloan is now based in LA and has written for the likes of Troye Sivan, Camila Cabello, Diplo, Noah Cyrus, Steve Aoki, Louis Tomlinson, John Legend, French Montana and Charli XCX - and "Hurt" is another banger of a step on the path to eclipse them all. Born Alexandra Yatchenko, the alliteratively named singer/songwriter’s profile shot up last year after co-writing and appearing on King Henry’s ‘I’ll Be There’ and Odesza’s hit ‘Falls’ in the same month.
"Hurt" is a collab with the frighteningly talented New Mexico-bor producer King Henry, who made his mark with Major Lazer’s “Cold Water,” “All Night” from Beyonce’s Lemonade, and “Nothing Without You” from The Weeknd’s Starboy.
