Indian-Norwegian vocalist Samsaya has been honing her peppy idiosyncrasies for best part of ten years with ‘The Good With The Bad’, and more recently, ‘Breaking Bad’, being the pick of the bunch.
‘Stereotype’ is her latest foray into the world of pop. A co-write with Iain James – of Emeli Sandé (boo) and One Direction (yay) repute – and Duke Dumont collaborator A*M*E, ‘Stereotype’ plunders Kala-era M.I.A. with fizzy synth riffs and bounding kick drums propelling Sam’s sassy give-a-shit bars. ‘See I don’t fit in any boxes, and no I’m not obnoxious,’ being the most devilishly sassy of the lot.
