"PLASTIC" is a fizzy and electrifying R&B banger from exciting new LA collective sakehands
sakehands are the LA-based collective led by Aris Maggiani. Recruiting Lauren Boncato, who is also known as Lo, for their latest effort, "PLASTIC" is like the sonic equivalent of a bag of pick'n'mix - sweet, full of variation and bubbling with excitement.
Reminiscent of early millenium R&B, but still drawing inspiration from the Max Martin pop of the end of the early nineties, "PLASTIC" is a track that utlises the irony of trashiness then flips into a future-facing pop banger that shimmers with endless earworm melodies.
Lo's low, breathy drawl possesses an air of effortless LA cool, only exemplifying the collective's trope that they belong to a club that everyone wants to be a part of. It shines with the alternative LA cool that brandishes our Hollywood-speckled dreams and sounds like the soundtrack to an epic party that everyone will be talking about for years to come.
