Gravity is abolished in the new video for RÜFÜS' upcoming single "You Were Right" [Premiere]
RÜFÜS are sharing the visuals for new single "You Were Right" on Best Fit.
The new single is the first offering from the Sydney-based band's second record, and is the fruits of the band's work in a wintery Berlin and summer Sydney.
Vocalist Tyrone Lindqvist says of the international writing process: “We got home after being away for 5 months, we’d spent the last part of that locked up in this special little apartment in Friedrichshain that we turned into our studio. But, it was so cold that we were rarely leaving the apartment... so coming home to summer in Sydney, being surrounded by the familiarity of everything that being home entails, we were suddenly approaching song writing in a different way, both technically and emotionally. We were able to unlock a different side to our writing.”
The new single is pure dance-pop excellence. It's made for all scenarios, and while its easy to see a strobed-up club pulsing to the beat of "You Were Right", it's equally easy to imagine the track soundtracking a drive along the coast.
RÜFÜS will release "You Were Right" on 17 August via Columbia, or it's available now through Sweat It Out. Their new record will follow 2013's Atlas.
