Watch: Rosie Lowe – “Right Thing”
Darkened, hauntingly minimal RnB seems to be flavour of the month at the moment, and songstress Rosie Lowe certainly doesn’t disappoint, cooking up a storm with new track “Right Thing”.
Stripped back percussion underneath melodic piano creates an atmospheric and melancholic backing, allowing Lowe’s voice space to float along; calm and ethereal.
Boasting production from Ilp. artist Kwes, and The Invisible’s Dave Okumu, the outcome of “Right Thing” is an experimental fusion of electronica and soulful vocals. Demonstrating an ability for the more up-tempo, Lowe has also impressed with a feature on Lil Silva’s “No Doubt”; still perhaps her strongest vocal to date.
Rosie Lowe’s debut EP Right Thing is set for release 2 December.
