London quartet RITUAL share the Konscious studio-inspired “Better By Now”
Following their debut live show and video playback at London’s Roundhouse last month, the mysterious quartet known as RITUAL share new track “Better By Now”.
The group, formerly a trio, continue to blossom since the addition of vocalist Mononoke to their ranks. Once again, “Better By Now” makes use of the new member through delicate harmonies floating above the group’s signature skittering percussion and cinematic production.
“We were out in LA last year working in a studio called Konscious in Santa Monica,” the band explain, of how “Better By Now” came to be. “It’s really cool, not a big glamorous corporate type studio; it has a real vibe to it and the song came out of the atmosphere in there that night.”
“With the lyrics, we are saying that everyone recovers and deals with things in their own time and way,” the band continue. “People often tell you how you are 'supposed to feel’, but [we] don't get that. Who cares what you think, really.”
