POW! battle good and evil in new music video for "Here Comes The Spade"
Ahead of a one-off UK show in London on 4 June, POW! have shared an artistic one-take video for new track "Here Comes The Spade".
Featuring on their new album Fight Fire (out now on Castle Face Records), "Here Comes The Spade" is an electrifying journey through frontman Byron Blum's moral compass. The video sees bandmates Melissa Blue and Aaron Diko battling it out as the angel and the devil on Blum's shoulders.
Director Brian Lee Hughes said of the video: "I had a poetically simple idea in my head for a very complicated single-take homemade vid. We all sat around the table and fleshed out a gang of ideas and then ran all over town getting the bits needed to make it happen. Total collaboration, and we only had $100 so we only spent $100. We had to do it in one single take. We set it up in my bedroom in front of a painting by French artist Lucile Littot and lit it with a fluorescent tube. And… It’s perfectly imperfect."
POW! play the only UK date of their European tour as a free entry pre-party for Field Day at The Lock Tavern on 4 June.
