Electro-pop pair Plaitum detail debut EP, share mayhem-laced first taste "LMHY"
Colchester electro-pop duo Plaitum have announced their debut self-titled EP, and shared its first track "LMHY".
Lurking somewhere between HEALTH-style noise-rock and Charli XCX's bratty bubblegum-pop, Plaitum's sound is immensely energetic. Friends since age 11, the now 20-year-old Abi Dersiley and Matt Canham have forged a creative partnership that seems to thrive on chaos, with latest single "LMHY" bursting with screams, jarring synths, slick pop motifs, and trap beats.
Recorded in Crouch End's Church Studios with Paul Epworth, the EP acts as an introduction to Plaitum ahead of their first full-length.
The band signed to Wolf Tone, Epworth's label, earlier this year, and will release Plaitum on 4 December.
