Following 2013’s Bloodworks EP, Brighton-based five piece Phoria add a distinctly human touch to their electronic work with their cinematic new single “Emanate.”
The track is grounded in physicality by hushed vocals, humming, and finger snaps that form the backbone of the piece. Haunting blips of piano and thick beats find their way into the mix and hint at the electronic flourishes to come. Even as “Emanate” makes its ascent into a huge, warm wall of synth melody, this remains a deeply felt and achingly human composition.
“Emanate” is the lead single from the forthcoming Display EP, slated for a June release via the brand new label, X Novo Records. It will be X Novo’s first release.
