Singer-songwriter Phoenix Martins has been performing, in one form or another, since the age of seven and is now looking to emulate her iconic idols.
Heavily influenced by Nina Simone, Stevie Nicks and those of that ilk, Martins’ first official foray into carving out her own pop star path is new song ‘Heart Strings’.
Classical in feel, with overlayed synths a contemporary signifier, it’s a strong-willed break up song, showing off not only expansive vocals but a talent for crafting earnest, romantic pop. Stream below.
