ASL Records continue to dazzle with their latest signing, Pawws – the alias of unassuming North Londoner Lucy Taylor.
On what starts as a fairly pedestrian dose of eighties flecked pop, ‘Time To Say Goodbye’ soon launches into a sweeping ballad with neat production that takes the ‘less is more’ approach to reaching its eventual grandeur. It’s all so effortless and instantly likeable.
B-side ‘Slow Love’ (originally released back in April) picks up the pace and sees Pawws rival Norwegian pop princess Annie in the adorability stakes. A bold debut.
The burgeoning label will release ‘Time To Say Goodbye’ b/w ‘Slow Love’ on limited edition 7″ vinyl. Head to their store to pre-order a copy before the 15 July release date.
