Double Denim signing Outfit have unveiled the first single to be taken from their debut album Performance.
Stuck somewhere in between dance and weirdo pop, ‘I Want What’s Best’ is perhaps a sign of the Liverpool band carving out a firm identity after dalliances with indie rock and electronic leaning R&B on previous EP releases earlier in their career.
The dispassionate verse vocal takes on an almost-but-not-quite human android tone before life is injected with a steadily ascending, high pitched layered crescendo at its climax. Stream below.
