A musician who's led a nomadic existence including spending their childhood between New York and Los Angeles, human of the world ORIION is an intriguing character.
On their first single "Live Another Lie", ORIION (we don't know his real name) mixes soul, tropical pop and electronic beats to make an extremely charming introduction.
With a breathy voice influenced by '80s soul-pop icons, gently funky and scratchy Nile Rodgers guitar and synth triggers playfully looping the vocals on the track title, there's something bruised yet hopeful about "Live Another Lie". ORIION is looking forward, but can't help but take a wistful glance or two over their shoulder.
"Live Another Lie" will be out tomorrow on digital platforms.
