Norwegian duo Smerz sign to XL Recordings and drop new track "Oh my my"
Denmark-based two-piece Smerz have inked a deal with XL Recordings and shared their new single "Oh my my".
The track is Smerz's first new material since the release of lauded debut EP Okey. "Oh my my" comes with a Copenhagen-shot video directed by Michella Bredahl and edited by Nikoline Løgstrup.
"Oh my my" is produced by the Norwegian duo - it's run through with fractured techno waves, mutated basslines and R&B-tinged vocals that jitter across ribbons of noise. It's a deceptively light listen at first, but it soon sucks you deep into sinister depths.
Smerz have a bunch of North American and European dates lined up, including sets at Lost Village and Bestival in the UK this September. Find out more.
