Nömak propels into glitchy paradise on "_128 kbit_s_my_love"
French producer Nömak plunges headfirst into glitchy tropics on the sprawling "_128 kbit_s_my_love".
Arriving as part of his _128 kbit / s_My_Love mixtape, the title-track from Nömak's anomalous body of work finds its feet in between sandy beaches and technological interference.
Layered with a plethora of bubbling click beats much like a fast-typing iPhone dialogue, "_128 kbit_s_my_love" sways between a warm keys melody and submerged vocal bursts that transmit an alien presence.
The intricate, multi-faceted track is like watching a holiday on fast-forward, racing through hot sand, bustling bars, before building to a peak of all the glitchy, digitally-infused sounds colliding, before dropping into a sleek woozy melody with jazzy cymbals to slow down the glitchiness.
Nömak's posted a quick note to go alongside the release of his new mixtape, revealing it's "a mixtape of old songs dating as early as 2013. I wanted you guys to have them as a gift. They have a lot of personal value to me."
