London-based producer Niven is streaming new single "Midnight SlowDance" on Best Fit.
We've already heard "Alleviate", "Rapture (ft. Natalie)", and the title track, but "Midnight SlowDance" shines a spotlight on a new side to Niven.
There's a solemn streak in the song, which opens with melancholy synth pulses and distant-memory vocals. As it unfurls, Niven introduces ribcage-shaking beats and a heap of kinetic chirrups; although there's a bunch of bittersweet moments, you'll find hope and even euphoria in the noise.
The Manta Ray EP is out on 10 March via SPHERE Recordings.
