Ahead of the release of their debut EP The Fox on 14 June via Sub Pop, ever-captivating Swedish duo Niki and The Dove have revealed brand new track ‘Gentle Roar.’ Remixed by Scottish producer Mylo, the track sees Malin Dahlström and Gustaf Karlöf continue to channel that blissful, romantic dance-pop of the eighties whilst incorporating a slightly more tropical, calypso rhythm.
A more understated melody, ‘Gentle Roar’s remix lacks that immediate infectious hook but with warm, flourishing synths that swell beneath percussive clacks and Dahlström’s hushed, layered voice it’s as perfect a slice of dance-pop as you could hope for.
