London two and a half piece – accounting for their part-time drummer – Moonrags err on the poppier side of AlunaGeorge’s fizzy electro.
Unconvincing moniker aside – Moonrags sounds like a futuristic dishcloth brand – you’d struggle to find fault with new tune ‘All My Love’s solid blocky hooks. Producer Geoff’s blend of breezy acoustic guitars, upbeat handclaps and pulsating bass provide the perfect foil for Cari’s twinkly-eyed, Jessie Ware-via-Lily Allen vocals, and although the envelope remains firmly un-pushed, Moonrags pay homage in the most tasteful of ways.
