Moondude discuss memory obliteration and takeaway recovery on "Wild Alive"
South London outfit Moondude return with an impressive toe tapper inspired by '90s shoegaze and melodic dream pop.
Like all great inventions, the idea behind Moondude was conceived by five children. Fast forward a number of years, and with a whole host of late night tales of youthful debauchery under their belts, the quintet are finally beginning to discover their sound.
On their "Displaced" follow up "Wild Alive", we see sultry summer guitar tones coalesce with soft and supple vocalisation to create a sound rooted in the naivety of youth whilst remaining commanding and mature. Jenny Wright directs the accompanying visuals.
"This song comes out of the pubs on Thursday/Friday/Saturday. Packed full of pent up 20-odd-year olds, the weekend routine of memory obliteration, drugs, alcohol and gym, and then the takeaway recovery on Sunday," explain Moondude. "The obdurate army on the escalator of time."
