Dublin’s milk. navigate the murky depths of love on “I Hate The Way You’re Looking At Me (Lately)”
Dublin based quartet milk.’s work is an eclectic blend of musical stylings. Tracks that are designed to be added to personal playlists, their sound is accessible, glossy and, most importantly, infectious.
"I Hate The Way You’re Looking At Me (Lately)” is a glistening slice of indie pop from Ireland's milk. Teeming with bright, boisterous synths and fuzzy guitar melodies, Mark McKenna’s vocals are a collective haze of longing and uncertainty - dark and devilish at its core.
“Although Mark had some of the lyrics already written, the song was fleshed out the first time we were all allowed to be in a room together since the start of lockdown,” the group says. “We recorded it with our good friend Adam Redmond in Flaked Studios. The track details the complexity of relationships - the difficult conversations and uncomfortable truths.”
Consisting of Mark, Conor Gorman, Conor King and Morgan Wilson, milk. create music for bleary-eyed mornings and late nights illuminated by the ghostly glow of streetlights. A sound concocted to go beyond the confines of categorisation.
