Grammy-nominated Ro James features on MAAD’s new track “Touch Me”
Opting for the triple threat career path, New York-based singer-singwriter MAAD juggles her modelling and DJing talents alongside the recording of debut EP Lé Funk, due later in the year.
New track “Touch Me” follows the success of 2016’s “90s Love”, and features vocals from Grammy-nominated R&B and soul singer Ro James alongside MAAD’s own. The slinky duet evokes a retro feel, taking inspiration from soul greats, with added twist of mellow electric guitar.
MAAD explains that “Touch Me” “helped mould the sound of [her] upcoming project,” describing the track as “gritty and sensual at the same time.” With more to come from MAAD later in the year, it’s a safe bet that we’ll be seeing and hearing plenty from her in the near future.
