As the crisp October air bitterly reminds us all that summer is well and truly over, up-and-coming producer Lxury’s video for new track ‘J.A.W.S’ takes us on a trip – in every sense of the word – to sunnier climes.
Lxury, a.k.a Andy Smith, goes way back with Howard and Guy Lawrence of Disclosure, and since the brothers dropped Smith’s debut single ‘J.A.W.S’ on their BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, the track’s SoundCloud approval ratings have sky-rocketed. Indeed, Disclosure co-produced the song, and while their influence is perhaps a little too transparent for their friend’s debut single than it should be, it is in any case a categorical hit.
With a purple haze over kaleidoscopic images of swimmers, surfers and beach-goers, the video feels like an LSD trip on Venice Beach in the 70s. Have a see for yourself in the video below.
