Luxury Death blast away the blues with "Painkiller"
What initially started out as "something else to do in the bedroom together," Luxury Death have released a second single that's as blistering as it is sweet.
Following the scuzzed up dream pop of "Radiator Face" and b-side "I Feel Your Pain", "Painkiller" is yearningly addictive.
Boasting the same knack for snappy hooks that first brought the two-piece to attention, "Painkiller" takes breezing rhythms and plain sailing melodies spiralling through a whirlpool of distortion.
Singing of comfort and relief, the track is at once uptempo and melancholy, a delicious antidote to the crushing blues.
They might have only three tracks to their name, but Luxury Death are making the kind of music that commands your attention.
