Sweden's LOUUD faces up to reality on broken-dream pop debut single "Fools"
London-based Swede Louise Udin, aka LOUUD, is releasing her debut single on Friday, and it's a fragile beauty.
Having honed her song writing skills at Rytmus Musikgymnasiet (like fellow alumni Tove Lo and Robyn) and London's BIMM, LOUUD is now ready to unveil "Fools".
With a shimmering pop-rock sound which recalls Fleetwood Mac or Lykke Li at her most playful, Udin's smooth voice floats over a forceful backbeat, fluttering electronics and a spidery guitar riff to make a beautiful whole which belies the song's themes.
"Fools was written about the struggles of fighting for a relationship that was meant to come to an end," says LOUUD. "It´s about giving someone countless last chances and feeling foolish after a break up. This song means a lot to me and I think many people can relate to it."
With an EP on the way, "Fools" sounds like it could be the start of something special for Udin as LOUUD.
