Livy delivers "Throne", her monthly dollop of pastel pop
Throughout the course of 2016 Seattle based creative Liyv has been releasing a pastel pop song every month.
“Throne” is her December release and marks the twelfth and final instalment, for now, and is premiering here on The Line Of Best Fit.
“Throne” is subtle but packs some heavy pop clout, with Liyv’s soothing vocal telling tales of teenage rebellion. “High school didn’t particularly suit me and I was feeling trapped by the small town I’d grown up in,” she explains. She goes on to add that, like most young musicians, she "desperately wanted to be working on music full time, so I lived through my songs. They were my only escape.”
These past twelve months have not only been exploratory for fans discovering Liyv’s music, but also for Liyv herself. “My only intention was to release quality music and find my sound,” she explains, having most definitely come into her in recent months. She speaks candidly about how “some of the songs I wrote the night before” and that “some were from high school” like “Throne”.
