Listen: Young Wonder – Time (Feat. Sacred Animals)
Haunting and rushing, Cork, Ireland’s most promising talent, Young Wonder unveil the first single, ‘Time’ off their forthcoming EP, with the help of producer pal, Sacred Animals’ charming words.
Rachel Koeman’s shrill murmurs against the production half of Young Wonder, Ian Ring’s breathy reverbed beats, looped whispers of vocal snippets, and menagerie of painstakingly crafted percussion arrangements create what might be the Irish duo’s best single yet. But the real star of ‘Time’ is the guest vocal work of Irish producer, Darragh Nolan aka Sacred Animals. Lending a richness to the track through glassy falsettos rippling over billowy 808 beats, pitched cymbal clashes and whirling, lofty delays, ‘Time’ becomes so much more than just an hour of the day.
Young Wonder’s EP Show Your Teeth is out 6th May via Feel Good Lost Records.
