22 year-old UK artist Youan fed the world a steady drip of singles a remixes throughout last year. He followed that up with the mixtape ‘Lets Slow Things Down To Sixty Seconds An Hour’ and if you had the pleasure of hearing that, you’ll know Youan has a penchant for future garage beat making, filled with R&B samples and subtle production touches.

Further attempting to carve his own niche in an already saturated market, he’s released a new EP – titled with romantic simplicity – Girl. Taken from that is this shimmering electronic instrumental ‘You Could Be’. All warm synths and hearty bass, punctuated by chopped vocals from Brandy’s flirtatious classic ‘I Wanna Be Down’.
