Listen: Wyles & Simpson - "Light and Dark"
Abigail Wyles and Holly Simpson - together forming Wyles & Simpson - are an electronic pop duo with a mission.
They've just dropped debut single "Light & Dark", and its clear that they need no grace period - this is a fully-formed project with eyes on the prize. They're clearly not dilletantes, having worked - according to their Facebook - with the likes of Rihanna, Nile Rodgers, Chase & Status, Doc Daneeka, Matthew Halsall and Illum Sphere. On top of those credentials, "Light & Dark" is a glorious four-and-a-half minutes of glimmering pop.
There's subtle bassy synths and blippy beats, but the real drama and allure comes from the vocal interplay between Wyles and Simpson. "Light & Dark" is a charming debut endeavour that's sure to pique interest in their future.
