When Drake was labelled the “softest guy in rap”, I’m sure everyone forgot about Yoni Wolf. Not that it’s a bad thing at all, WHY?’s new track ‘Sod In The Seed’ sums up everything we’ve loved of their back-catalogue to date: choppy instrumentals, occasionally glitching production, faultless rhymes and a heart that’s ready to pour spilled milk everywhere.
Just take the line “Who am I to judge a man’s heart by his yacht wear? And it scares me to death that I’m starting to not care”, for example. And now go listen to that gem and a whole lot more:
The track is taken from WHY?’s upcoming EP on new label City Slang, out in August.
