Listen: Why? – Jonathan's Hope
Why?’s recent EP was a cathartic affair, an assortment of odes, confessions and requiems ranging from long internally-suffering frontman Yoni Wolf’s “hungry unwed life” to his middle-class guilt that comes with shopping at Wholefoods and even some rather questionable events at late-teens’ dorm rooms.
And it looks like the Oakland hipster-hop troupe’s upcoming full-length Mumps, Etc will be full of equally atoning business; but perhaps taking a more outwardly form. “ “When I got better from the mumps,” Wolf begins the opening lines. “Yes, my swollen nut and neck shrunk.”
Listen below to witness Yoni at his, ahem, illest flow. (We really are sorry for that pun…)
