Listen: The Tallest Man On Earth – 1904 [Best Fit UK Exclusive]
We were fortunate enough to catch Swedish singer-songwriter The Tallest Man On Earth live last year in the most brilliant of settings. Playing a sunset set at Norway’s Pstereo festival in the picaresque coastal city of Trondheim, most of those looking on congregated on a nearby hill, rather than in front of the stage, watching from a far as the sky slowly darked in the background. It was a moment that could so easily have been deemed quite corny, had everyone not been at the right point of tipsiness.
Sure, we can’t promise to replicate that moment while we’re all stuck indoors this afternoon, but a premiere of a brand new track is good enough of a treat on its own. ’1904′ is the first song to be aired from the musician’s forthcoming album There’s No Leaving Now. The follow-up to 2010′s The Wild Hunt, the record will see release on 11 June via Dead Oceans.
After going from supporting Bon Iver at NY’s Town Hall not long back, he’s now headlining the exact same venue this time round. The summer also sees the man heading to the UK for a number of shows and festival appearances, including Hop Farm and the Brecon Beacon’s Green Man Festival.
