Listen: The Holidays – Voices Drifting
Sydney’s The Holidays have captured the mood of this freak heatwave we’re currently experiencing better than anyone else with their new summery (obviously), tropical (duh) indie-pop anthem ‘Voices Drifting’.
Drawn from their forthcoming sophomore album, recorded with no expenses spared in Berlin, London, Melbourne, Paris and Tokyo, this delightful wodge of hazily swaying guitars and twirling synths is pure escapism. Three years on from their Australian Music Prize nominated debut, and sans one of the founding members, the now three-piece are aiming for the clouds, and they might just have the soaring choruses required to make it that far.
‘Voices Drifting’ is available from iTunes now.
