Listen: Sieren Live Set from The Forum, Bielefeld, Germany
Budding German producer, Matthias Frick, under the name Sieren builds atmospheric tech-house creations out of harsh, static breaks and hazy field recordings taken from crowded instances caught on tape, and shreds of rippling thoughts made just barely audible.
Frick’s rhythmically striking live set in his hometown of Bielefeld, Germany takes clubgoers on a journey through beautifully weaved samples, whizzing swells and pulsing beats amidst stabs of lofty drums and the clash of metal percussion. Methodically crafting shifting moods of out millions of minute bits and pieces, Sieren’s live performance illicts this muted, textural warmth you can’t help but want to bathe in.
Consider this live set just a tempting treat before the main course, as Sieren’s debut release on Finest Ego / Project Mooncircle is still to come. As the forward thinking creative label never disappoints, Sieren’s forthcoming release is not to be missed. Be sure to check out the special artwork they made just for this Best Fit premiere too!
