With a second album on the horizon, Helsinki’s synth-pop duo Shine 2009 unveil a brilliantly glistening new single.
Don’t be fooled by the name, this track sounds anything but 4 years old; with it’s industrial chimes, operatic vocal sample and disco-inspired bass-line, ‘Eurozone’ is an inspired coming-together of sounds. “I know you love money” stands out, as the economically-fueled lyrics smoothly ring out over the top of a careful mixture of the aforementioned elements. The closing stages introduce a seemingly unlikely Summery electric guitar progression, adding a little extra warmth to this laid-back number. Be a part of the ‘Eurozone’ below.
