Originally hailing from Colombia but now holed up in the new music mecca of Brooklyn, Salt Cathedral are a heady brew of influences.
Their South American roots are clearly present in the quick footed rhythmic shifts that embrace new track ‘Black and White’ like a whirlwind. Pitching the track somewhere between the math rock mastery of Foals and the nostalgic hue of Twin Sister. It’s a heady brew indeed and one that rewards repeated listens.
Salt Cathedral headline the Popgun night at Glasslands in New York as part of the CMJ music marathon on 14 October. Listen to the cyclonic ‘Black and White’ below.
