Listen: Sad, Vibrant and the Power – My Home [Best Fit Premiere]
‘My Home’ is the second track to premiere from Stockholm electropop wizard Sad, Vibrant and the Power’s debut EP, Got to Run.
Recorded almost exclusively in the Stockholm apartment of Simon Andersson, the EP’s five tracks demonstrate a keen enthusiasm for ballsy early 00’s indie floor fillers tempered with nuances of subzero Scandinavian chill-out. ‘My Home’ strikes that balance better than any other track with its twinkling keyboard riff which builds, breaks and repeats over again and resonating floor tom thuds which rise up like distant flares illuminating the deep pools of Simon’s richly textured vocals.
If like us, you were left underwhelmed by the new Delphic album’s mixed messages and limp hooks; fear not because Sad, Vibrant and the Power are on hand to rescue indie-electro crossovers from the jaws of mediocrity.
